Olufunke Etti is a popular Nollywood actress known for her active roles in the movie industry.
Funke Etti hail from Isale Eko (Lagos Island) from the paternal side and from her mother is from Iwo, Osun State.
She is the last child in the family of four and was born on April 26.
Born in Shomolu and she attended St Augus Primary School both in Shomolu. She later had her secondary school education at Igbobi Girls High School.
Funke later withdrew and finished in Oregun High School to round off her secondary education.
She went to a State University to study Business Administration in Lagos as a part-time student for two years before she quitted.
Olufunke later took another JAMB and did Economics as a full-time student from the University of Lagos.
CAREER AND FAMILY
Her acting career started with a mentor who is someone always behind the camera (Kola Igida, Latunde Films). She met him through one of her aunt that was on the censor board.
She started acting without her mom’s consent because the mother already told her that any of her children that go into acting, she will curse.
According to her, she was at home one fateful day when her mom saw her in a movie in just a scene. She pleaded that the group came to her school for just a simple role.
Another particular day, her mother returned home very happy, telling her tales of how people revered her because they saw her in a movie.
Since then, her mother started praying for her.
Her first movie was titled, “Ina Abe Aso”, produced by Late Yinka Ajomo. “Kikelomo Oluso” was her first movie that made her popular in the year 2009.
Her mentors in the movie industry include Iya Awero (Lanre Hassan), Mama Rainbow (Idowu Phillips), Joke Silva, Lola Idije (Toyin Afolayan), Madam Saje (Fausat Balogun), and others.
Yes, She has a child.
She is married but he is not into the movie industry.
